--/100
Fill in your listing to get a score.
A listing needs 70 or more and every required check to be approved.
Who it is for
Founders getting a product ready for launch day on DivvLaunches, Product Hunt or any other launch platform. Most listings that get few clicks are missing the same handful of things: a logo, a screenshot, a tagline that says what the product does. This checker finds them before your visitors do.
How to use it
- Pick your launch plan: a free launch with the DivvLaunches badge, or First Class.
- Paste your product name, tagline, description and website, then tick what you have ready: logo, screenshots, demo video, makers and a category.
- Watch the score update. Fix anything marked required first, then work through the copy tips.
- When it says Cleared for takeoff, book your launch with the same text.
What each check means
| Check | Points | What passes |
|---|---|---|
| Badge | 10, required | Free launches: the DivvLaunches badge on your site, added up to 72 hours after booking. First Class skips it. |
| Website | 10, required | A public https address. |
| Logo | 15, required | A logo uploaded with the listing. Square images read best at small sizes. |
| Tagline | 10, required | 10 to 140 characters that say what the product does. |
| Description | 20, required | At least 60 characters to pass, 120 or more for full marks. |
| Screenshots | 15 | At least one screenshot (12 points); a screenshot and a demo video (15). |
| Makers | 10 | At least one maker credited by name. |
| Category | 10 | One category picked, so the launch shows up on its category page. |
Common mistakes
- A tagline that repeats the product name or says "the best way to" instead of what the product does.
- A tagline longer than about 60 characters, which launch cards and link previews cut off mid-sentence.
- A description that never says who the product is for.
- No numbers anywhere: no price, no time saved, no count of users or integrations.
- Hype words such as "revolutionize" or "seamlessly" in place of features.
- A logo with thin text that turns into a smudge at 48 pixels.
- Launching with zero screenshots. People decide from the images before they read a word.
Questions
Is the launch readiness checker free?
Yes. There is no account, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
Is this the same check DivvLaunches uses to approve launches?
Yes. The score comes from the same code that decides whether a launch on DivvLaunches is approved: 70 or more, with every required check passing. Use it for any launch platform; the things it looks for are what every launch page needs.
Why does my free launch say the badge comes after booking?
A free launch on DivvLaunches needs the DivvLaunches badge on your site, but you can book first and add it within 72 hours. The checker scores your listing as if the badge were in place and reminds you it still has to be verified. First Class launches skip the badge.
What score do I need?
70 out of 100, with the badge, website, logo, tagline and description checks all passing. Screenshots, makers and a category add points but do not block approval on their own.
Do you save what I type?
No. The score is worked out in your browser and nothing is sent to our servers. Close the tab and it is gone.
My listing is ready. What next?
Check how the page looks in Google with the Google Search Preview, make a share image with the OG Image Generator, then book your launch.
