PREPARING RUNWAY...
Type a title, pick a template, download a 1200 x 630 PNG. Made in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
When someone pastes your link into X, LinkedIn, Slack, WhatsApp or a Facebook post, the platform fetches your page once and builds a card from a few meta tags. The picture on that card is the Open Graph image, set with the og:image tag. If you do not set one, the platform picks something itself, usually a random image from the page or nothing at all. A deliberate image gets more clicks because the card looks like it was made on purpose.
The generator above draws your image on a canvas at the exact size platforms expect, so the preview is the file you download. Add the image to your site, point the og:image tag at it, and every share uses it.
One 1200 x 630 image covers all of them. The table shows what each platform does with it.
| Platform | Shows | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1200 x 630 (1.91:1) | Under 600 x 315 it becomes a small thumbnail. Files up to 8 MB. | |
| X | About 1200 x 628, cropped to 2:1 in the timeline | Needs twitter:card set to summary_large_image, otherwise you get a small square card. Keep the file under 5 MB. |
| 1200 x 627 (1.91:1) | Reads the same og tags. Under 5 MB. | |
| Slack and Discord | The og:image, scaled | Slack unfurls the first link in a message; Discord shows the image in an embed. |
| WhatsApp and iMessage | A wide card when the image is small and fast | In practice keep the file under about 300 KB and use an absolute https URL, or you get a tiny thumbnail. |
og:image must be a full https URL, not /og.png.twitter:card. Without it X shows a small card even when the image is perfect.Yes, with no account and no watermark. It exists so founders who use it find out about DivvLaunches.
No. The logo stays in your browser as a temporary file and is drawn onto the canvas there. Nothing is sent to our servers; refreshing the page clears it.
The title, subtitle, label, template and colour are kept in the page address as you type, so copying the URL shares them. The logo is never in the URL.
After you add the tags, run the page through the Link Preview Checker. It fetches the page the way a platform would and shows the card for each one.
